Start with the file itself

Most Astute Beta APK install failures trace back to the download, not the phone. Check the file size first against the Astute Beta APK technical dossier: the v2.133.1 build from the Astute Beta APK download page should be about 536 MB. Anything far smaller is a partial download and will fail every time.

Fix 1: Re-download completely

Delete the partial file and run the six second countdown again on a stable connection, ideally Wi-Fi. Do not open the file until the size reads about 536 MB. This alone resolves the majority of Parse Errors.

Fix 2: Clear signature conflicts

Android refuses to install over a copy signed differently. If any older Astute Beta build is on the phone, uninstall every copy, restart the phone, and install fresh. Our install guide walks the clean path from the start.

Fix 3: Free up space

A 536 MB game package plus first-run data needs real room. Free up at least 1.2 GB before installing. The OBB guide explains why no separate data file is involved in this build.

Fix 4: Allow the install permission

On modern Android the permission prompt appears when you open the APK: allow your browser to install unknown apps. On older versions the toggle lives under Settings, then Security. It is a one time step and completely normal for sideloading.

Fix 5: Restart and retry

If the file is complete, space is free, and permissions are set, restart the phone and install once more. A stuck installer process is rare but real. The Astute Beta APK homepage lists the exact build details to compare against your file.

When nothing works

Confirm your phone runs Android 5.0 or newer and has a 64-bit capable chipset. If the build still refuses, report your phone model and Android version through the contact page so the lab can investigate.

Quick answers

Why does Astute Beta say App not installed?

Usually a signature conflict with an older copy, or not enough free space. Remove every existing copy, free up 1.2 GB, and install fresh.

What causes a Parse Error on Astute Beta?

Almost always an incomplete download. Re-download fully and confirm the file is about 536 MB before opening it.

The installer asks for unknown sources. Is that normal?

Yes. Android asks once per app source for any APK outside the Play Store. Allow it for your browser and continue.
