How to Install Astute Beta APK on Android: Step by Step Guide
Install Astute Beta v2.133.1 on any Android phone in about ten minutes. Covers the 536 MB download, storage, permissions, and first launch.

Before you start
Astute Beta is not on the Play Store, so you install it from an APK file. The file is about 536 MB, so keep at least 1.2 GB of free space for the file, the install, and the first-run data it creates. Our safety breakdown explains what to verify before you trust any build. The Astute Beta APK page lists the exact build details you should match.
Step 1: Download the file
Head to the Astute Beta APK download page and let the six second countdown finish. Do not rename the file, and keep it somewhere you can find, like the Downloads folder. On a normal connection the 536 MB file takes several minutes.
Step 2: Confirm the finished size
Before opening anything, check that the file is about 536 MB. A half-downloaded game file is the most common cause of install failures. If the size is far off, delete it and run the download again on a stable connection.
Step 3: Allow installs from unknown sources
Android blocks sideloaded apps by default. When you open the Astute Beta APK, your phone will ask permission to install unknown apps; tap Allow for the browser or file manager you are using. This is a one time step per app source.
Step 4: Install the file
Tap Install and wait. A 536 MB game package takes longer than a small app, so do not switch away mid-install on slower phones. If you see an App not installed message, the install troubleshooting guide fixes every common error in order.
Step 5: First launch on Wi-Fi
Open Astute Beta and pick Guest Mode for your first session. The game downloads first-run resources, so stay on Wi-Fi and let it finish before joining a match. Rushing this step is what causes most first-launch crashes.
What to do first
Try the training options before real matches. They let you test controls, recoil, and sensitivity with the OB55-era changes in place, and the sensitivity guide shows how to tune them. Treat everything you earn inside as temporary test resources.
Quick answers
How long does the Astute Beta installation take?
About ten minutes total on a normal connection: most of it is the 536 MB download, then a couple of minutes for the install and first resource load.
Do I need to uninstall regular Free Fire first?
Not necessarily. This build uses package com.dts.freefiremax, so check for conflicts with what you already have. A separate install does not remove account-policy risk, so use Guest Mode.
Do I need an Astute Beta account to test?
No. Guest Mode needs no account link and is the fastest way in. Use it for your first session at least.
